If I could be anywhere right now I would be here.... Years ago I lived in Albuquerque, NM and fell in love with the hot air balloons that were in the sky almost every weekend. I have always wanted to rid on a hot air balloon - have you?
ReplyDeleteNo, I have never ridden in one. Very expensive, at least for me. Last I heard about $150 to $275 per person, in Albuquerque anyway. I live near Palo Duro Canyon (2nd largest canyon in the US) and there is a beautiful balloon race, Pirates of the Canyon, in Novembe. I always am anxious to see the balloons fly. They have a balloon glow at night -- balloons tethered and you can walk right up to the baskets and talk to the pilots. They blast the burners and since it is dark they look like stained glass.
