The little black schnauzer is Gracie. Andy's baby is in the background. I don't think Andy meant to leave him by the trash, more likely the back door that is just around the corner. A few nights ago I had company for dinner -- 2 rowdy grandsons and a rowdy granddaughter plus my 2 daughters & I talking loudly since I am hearing impaired. The house was noisy and while Andy loves the kids after awhile Andy likes quiet. Andy was probably trying to help his baby escape! Last photo ... Best buddies, Zoe & Andy

Very cute. Everyone urges me to get a cat or a dog now. Maybe it is the talking to Mike while seemingly no one is there that prompts this suggestion. (They give me somebody to talk to when i am alone.) I am not yet ready to take on the possibility of another loss just yet.
ReplyDeleteI can understand your fear of another loss. Our hearts can only take so much. Some day, though, maybe you can consider a pet. The unconditional love they give is good medicine for a shattered heart.
DeleteThanks for stopping by and leaving your thoughts about getting out of a funk! I rescued a poodle named Gracie 10 years ago, and is the best medicine for me on a daily basis!! No grandkids yet...hope someday they may arrive!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are out of that funk soon and feel just wonderful. My Gracie is a rescue as well! She was the skinniest dog I ever saw --- skin draped over bones. Like the Pinterest sign says, rescue is my favorite breed.
DeleteI love these pictures :)
ReplyDeleteMe too! And I am pretty sure you took all 3.
DeleteI love love love animals - grandchildren - and dogs named Andy!
ReplyDeleteMe too! Some time I am going to send you a photo of my grandson, Travis, who is 11. When I saw your Andy's photo the first time I thought not only does he look like Travis but they are both sweet, intelligent boys!
ReplyDeleteI cannot cling to my dog Slim tightly enough. She is the best dog that ever owned me. She loved Ron but I have always been her best friend. To entertain the thought of losing her is more than I can bear and she seem to sense how important it is to stay close. She knows all my secrets.
ReplyDeleteI understand completely. My dog, Max was like that. He knew all my secrets too. He passed away Dec two years ago. I have to admit, it was just horrible to lose that dog.
