On days like this I am SO glad I am retired and don't have to get out, scrape a windshield, and go to work. Today I think I will:
- Finish reading a cozy mystery
- bake some bread
- wrap Christmas presents
- work on a jigsaw puzzle
- clean my bedroom & bathroom
- write a letter to my son
- watch an old DVD The Family Stone
- work on a photo album for my granddaughter
- Read Reader's Digest online with my library card
That sounds like a full day to me. I like to spend those kind of days in pretty much the same way.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a good weekend. I'm so grateful to have a warm home.
DeleteI can get out in any kind of weather. Glad I didn't have to go to work, but did run to the store, post office etc. As long as I have a coat and the car has a heater I am all set.
ReplyDeleteThere you go! Be safe!
DeleteI am retired too but I choose to have these chickens and other critters that require my attention so I must trudge out in the morning and in the evening to get them fresh water and some food. That still leaves me a lot of time to work on projects in the warmth of my cozy home. Still lots better than when I had to get out in traffic and go to the office.
ReplyDeleteTaking care of your animals is a labor of love, isn't it? And you don't have to drive on icy streets to do it. Stay warm!
Deletewe've been frozen over here in the Dallas area also....I painted my living room...been chasing dust bunnies....watching Hallmark Christmas movies...
ReplyDeleteOh I have been hearing about the weather in Dallas, much worse than ours!! Stay warm and stay safe! My sister loves Hallmark channel and watches all the time. I don't have cable but I love the Hallmark movies i can check out on DVD from my library. They are just the best!
DeleteSounds like a wonderful day....I hope it was all as good as you planned.
ReplyDeleteHi Jeanie, It was a really good weekend. I am pretty much a homebody but I am ready for some warm weather.... this bitter cold is getting old. It is spitting snow outside. We need the moisture and that will be very Christmas-y so let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!! How are you?
